Since Hospice of South Georgia provides services regardless of ability to pay, we rely on support from the community. We are the only not-for-profit Hospice based in Valdosta, providing services to patients and families in an 8 county area.
Hospice of South Georgia is supported by tax deductible donations and various fund raisers. While Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance offer reimbursement for the care and services provided by Hospice of South Georgia, we strive to provide for other needs not paid by any traditional health care coverage…
Imagine the mother of a terminally ill child, who lacks a simple rocking chair to hold and comfort her baby…or a patient cared for in a home without a basic window unit air conditioner, during the heat of the summer…or a far away family member, taking extra time from work to care for a loved one, who needs help with transportation costs to spend a few more cherished moments together…
These are only a few examples of ways Hospice of South Georgia helps our patients and families find comfort and dignity at the end of life.
